August 17-21 - Pine Island Fishing Trip
What is rapidly becoming a tradition for Austin Woods & Waters Club is the great hospitality and exceptional fishing offered by Brian and Barbara Burgess, hosts of Pine Island Lodge in the Winnipeg River, Manitoba, Canada. Located on a 17 acre island, just an hour’s drive, then a 45-minute boat ride from the Winnipeg airport (beverage and supply stops not figured in travel time), Pine Island Lodge provides a welcome break from the hustle of everyday Austin life, and a much-needed break from the Texas heat.
The 2012 trip is scheduled to take place from August 17th to the 21st, with three days of non-stop fishing action in between. The cabins at Pine Island are quaint and comfortable, the views are astounding, and the service from the staff is unparalleled. Picture coffee delivered to your cabin at 7:00 am, breakfast served in the lodge at 7:30, and ambling down to the docks to meet your jovial and knowledgeable guides whenever you’re finished eating and ready to fish. Typically, you catch your lunch of fresh Walleye in the morning, then head out for an afternoon of topwater action with Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike; some great fighting action.

September 2012 - Dove Hunts

Free Range Elk
Dave Mahn is exploring possibility of a free range cow elk hunt at the Longfellow Ranch in West Texas for fall 2012. Flexible dates, it is possible to also hunt dove, quail, WT deer, mgt. bull elk, aoudad, turkey, and other game in addition to cow elk 3 day hunt, see www.longfellowranch.com for more details.
